during recovery of the right diaphragm (Fig. 92b). Fig. 93 shows reduced activity in 7
R.I.S. as compared with L.I.S. ij months after complete lesion below 05. There was
greatly reduced function of the right diaphragm.

marked activity of the sternomastoid and also of the 3rd, 6th and 8th intercostal spaces,
and Fig. 95 case J.H. (10 months after complete lesion below C6) shows activity during
inspiration over the 3rd and 5th interspaces as well as the abdominal muscles but much
more marked expiratory rhythm in the intercostal spaces.
