The marital status of these people before admission is given in Table 32, showing
674 (44-8 per cent), of whom 69 were women, married and living with their partners.
This figure includes marriages both before and after injury, the great majority being
after injury. A total of 777 (51-8 per cent), amongst them 99 women, were single, and
